ABOUT THE AUTHOR Diane’s interest in children’s literature began when she was Max in an elementary school production of Maurice Sendak’s, “Where the Wild Things Are.” The book remains one of her all-time favorites. Years later, Diane was extremely fortunate when she worked with Mr. Sendak on the concept development of an interactive play space in San Francisco based on his books. Her writing and producing credits include a feature film that has appeared on Showtime and is currently airing on Lifetime, award-winning marketing campaigns for The Walt Disney Company's resorts and theatrical releases, a film about children with arthritis that aired on The Arthritis Telethon, a program for The Disney Channel and children's shows for WPLG-TV, Miami, an affiliate of ABC. Diane’s creative talents have been recognized with numerous Addy Awards, an Emmy, and New York Film Festival honors. She is a member of the SCBWI, Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators. “The Cat That Wanted Out” is her first children’s book.
